In this Pits to Podium segment of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, Soumil and Kunal preview the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix to be held at the mystic and historic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. After suffering from first lap mishaps in the last two races, Max Verstappen would be itching to have a clean race and take the battle to Lewis Hamilton.
Yes, there are 12 races remaining in this championship fight, but the races will come and go at a faster rate in the second half of the season. Momentum will be key and that’s the ONE thing that Verstappen would be eager to resume. And of course, there’s Ferrari vs. Mclaren + the uber-competitive mid-field battle, Fernando Alonso’s extension with Alpine and the announcement of the ‘Overtake Award’. Frankly, given Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez’s grid penalties, the chance for an outsider to score a podium in the Belgian Grand Prix is fairly high.
Tune in!
